Misaw Lake Lodge

Largest allocation of lakes in Saskatchewan!

Our outfitter license includes a massive area of 16 lakes and rivers that we have exclusive rights to fish.  If you drew a rectangle in the far NE corner of Saskatchewan, our area would encompass 3,500 sq. miles!  Some of these lakes have never been fished by sport fishermen.  These virgin waters give us the opportunity to rotate fly out lakes each year minimizing the fishing pressure and giving anglers a chance to fish new virgin waters every year.  Nunim Lake has already made a name for itself with a daily record of 268 fish (all over 30") for one boat of which 41 were over 40". Keesechewun Lake has produced a lot of trophy Pike, as well as Goyer Lake which produced a 49 1/2 inch trophy the first day fished.  Many of these fly out lakes have Lake Trout, as well, such as Many Islands Lake which is full of Lake Trout.  There will also be expansion opportunities for outpost camps in the future.  Check out our lakes below and click on them to view a map of the lake.

  • Misaw Lake - In Cree language, Misaw means "It is Big".  This large body of water has many islands, bays, reefs, weed beds, and other structure.  Perfect for producing trophy sized Pike, Lake Trout, and Arctic Grayling.
  • Schwandt River - This fast flowing river enters Misaw Lake on the west side, exits at the south end, then turns and flows north to Patterson Lake and beyond into the Northwest Territories.  This river is famous for producing giant Pike, Lake Trout, and Grayling in the same locations throughout the season.
  • Kohn Lake - This is the furthest lake we have to the south.  A short float plane ride away, this lake is sure to be Gem in the future.
  • Apipuyew Lake - This lake is located just south of Misaw.  It part of the Schwandt River system and will play a major role in our future plans for fly outs and outpost camps.
  • Bailey Lake - A lot of promising features on this lake.  We will be test fishing this lake soon.
  • Bonokoski Lake - Bonokoski Lake has a unique shape to it and offers some potential portage lakes accessable by foot.
  • Gebhard Lake - This little beauty is just north of Bonokoski Lake and connected to it via a river.  Anglers will have access to both lakes via portage.
  • Goyer Lake - We have fished this lake a few times and Man-oh-Man has it procuded.  Giant Pike and Lake Trout to boot.  Just a short hop to the NW from Misaw and you will be on BIG fish all day.
  • Hutcherson Lake - Not much is known about this lake, but with a river flowing in and out there is sure to be good action on this virgin lake.
  • Patterson Lake - Giant Pike, Lake Trout, and Grayling highlight this outpost lake.  There are BIG sets of rapids on the south end near the cabin, and the Schwandt River flows in and out to the north on the border of the Northwest Territories.
  • Nunim Lake - This has already produced "the best fishing day of my life!" stories from previous guests at Misaw.  Giant Pike are what guests are hunting, here, and it won't disappoint.  Every angler that has fished it, says "there are no small fish in that lake!"  "200-300 fish/day per boat - all over 30 inches!"
  • Wapiyao Lake - This lake has me really excited to test fish it.  With 4 rivers coming in & out and great structure, this is going to be a Hot Spot for years to come.
  • Wayow Lake - Just to the north of Wapiyao, this is the our furthest lake to the west.  Another virgin lake with loads of potential.
  • Many Islands Lake - True to it's name, this long skinny lake has produced giant Pike and Lake Trout in BIG numbers.
  • Keseechewun Lake - Just to the  west of Misaw, this large body of water has also produced some record breaking days for anglers.
  • Hamill Lake - Another promising lake to test fish in the near future.
