Take a moment to read through our packing tips to ensure you can make the most of your time at Misaw Lake Lodge. Your private air charter from Winnipeg to Misaw Lake limits each guest to 50 pounds of personal gear. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give one of our friendly trip coordinators a call.
To ensure your comfort, we suggest you wear layers of clothing while you are out on the lake, from cotton undershirts to long-sleeved thermals that you can take on and off with ease. Insulated clothing and regular fishing attire will suit you just fine, but a good set of 100% waterproof raingear is recommended. If you do not own waterproof gear, don’t worry; just bring extra layers to ensure you stay warm. You might also consider waterproof shoes and/or waterproof boots.
Consider your camera essential. You’ll be surrounded by incredible scenery and wildlife, not to mention all your trophy fish. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent, such as Muskol or Repel. Double-check that you’ve packed all your toiletries and medications. By the end of June the water might even be warm enough to jump in, so you may want to bring your swim suit along. We also suggest packing your belongings in a waterproof duffel bag; this way you can bring the duffel bag on your one-day fly-out trips to transport anything personal you might want to take a long. And don’t forget your sunglasses!
We highly recommend using our equipment due to travel restrictions on weight and size, but for those who plan to bring their own fishing equipment to Misaw Lake Lodge, we’ve put together a list of recommended equipment under Tackle Tips on the Renowned Fishing Experience page. No need to worry about a fishing license. We’ll arrange the paperwork and have it ready for you upon arrival.
Visit our Tackle Tips for more advice on fishing gear and equipment.
